Alberta Innovates is seeking a Client Engagement Coordinator.This bargaining role supports the Entrepreneurship, Digital, and Talent team by serving as the first point of contact for companies seeking funding and coaching support. This role is responsible for facilitating client intake, conducting initial assessments, as well as guiding clients through Alberta Innovates’ systems and programs.

This is a permanent position and can be based out of our Edmonton Research and Development Park office or our Calgary Research Park office. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

Here’s some more information about the position:

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Act as the first point of contact for new client leads and guide them through intake and onboarding.
  • Assess client readiness and connect them to programs, services, and ecosystem partners.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and partners to support client success and program alignment.
  • Manage data integrity, generate reports, and contribute to process improvements and IT tool adoption.
  • Coordinate special projects and foster relationships across industry, academia, and government.

Qualifications and skills we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science or related field. Extend work experience may be substituted for education credentials if appropriate.
  • Minimum 5 years in a business environment related to technology, knowledge-based industry or product development.
  • At least 3 years in a client facing/support role.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a research or early-stage venture-oriented environment.
  • If you are familiar with investment readiness, including reviewing business plans, pitch decks and coordinating investor introductions.

Full Time Annual Salary: $69,603 to 87,069
