Ecosystem Development Coordinator
Alberta Innovates is seeking an Ecosystem Development Coordinator. This role supports the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem team in delivering Alberta Innovates’ ecosystem development goals. This role works cross-functionally to assist managers with program administration, design, and monitoring; data collection and reporting; communication and event coordination; and internal and external stakeholder engagement. The position contributes to building a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem by enabling collaboration, supporting program execution, and ensuring effective information flow across partners and Alberta Innovates.
This is a permanent bargaining position and will be based out of our Edmonton Research and Development Park office. This position is eligible for hybrid work.

Here’s some more information about the position:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Program Support: Assist in administering grants and contracts, ensuring compliance with established processes and supporting program design, launch, and relaunch.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track progress of programs and stakeholders; compile data, reports, and impact stories for internal and external audiences.
- Communication & Engagement: Develop communication plans, resources, and tools; lead information sessions; maintain timely stakeholder communication.
- Event Coordination: Support planning and execution of ecosystem events, meetings, and program launches; coordinate team participation and reporting.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal teams and external partners to foster collaboration and share best practices.
Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferably in Business.
- 8 years of related experience with a proven track record in entrepreneurial or ecosystem development.
- Proven ability to implement collaborative projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Alberta’s social, economic, environmental and technological priorities.
- Experience working with government and industry across multiple sectors, including innovative technology development and program support.
- Project Management certification with experience is an asset.
