Stakeholder and Culture Coordinator
Alberta Innovates is seeking a Stakeholder and Culture Coordinator, supporting the Vice Presidents of Stakeholder Relations and Planning and People and Culture. This is a permanent position and will be based out of our Edmonton Research Park office. This position is eligible for hybrid work. This role provides high-level administrative support and strategic support to the Corporate Services portfolio. This role supports the Vice Presidents and Executive Directors, contributing directly to the achievement of both corporate and operational objectives.
This role is responsible for a broad range of complex and confidential administrative functions and plays a key part in leading and coordinating cross-functional projects, optimizing executive and team workflows, and advancing initiatives that foster team cohesion and organizational engagement. This includes close collaboration with Human Resources and Communications to support internal cultural-building efforts and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Here’s some more information about the position:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Executive Support: Manage calendars, travel, meetings, and communications for Vice Presidents, ensuring seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Administrative Excellence: Prepare high-quality presentations, reports, and correspondence; support project execution and departmental initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships through timely responses, clear communication, and proactive collaboration.
- Event & Sponsorship Coordination: Plan and execute corporate events, sponsorship activations, and VIP engagements, overseeing logistics, budgets, and post-event evaluations.
- Financial Oversight: Support budgeting, expense tracking, and contract administration; ensure accuracy and compliance in financial documentation.
- Culture & Engagement: Lead internal engagement initiatives, including DEI programs and team-building activities; mentor administrative peers.
- Records Management: Maintain organized and compliant records for departmental operations and HR documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to stakeholder relations and operational workflows.
Qualifications and skills we are looking for:
- Minimum 2-year Business Diploma or Certificate
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in executive-level administrative support, preferably within a complex, multi-stakeholder experience
- Proven project coordination or management experience
- Experience in a corporate, professional consulting or government atmosphere is preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced, client service environment with executives and senior managers is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities for self and others in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate computer proficiency with advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite & Dynamics 365 and digital marketing tools.
- Demonstrates an elevated level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as required.
